Check your resume against a job description

Paste a job description and your resume to see which of the job's keywords your resume already uses and which are missing. It is free, there is no sign-up, and the check runs in your browser, so nothing you paste is uploaded or saved.

How to tailor a resume to a job description

  1. Read the description twice and note the skills, tools and duties it repeats. Those are what a recruiter, and any keyword filter, look for first.
  2. Use the employer's wording where it is true for you. If they say "stakeholder management" and you wrote "worked with business teams", say it their way.
  3. Move your most relevant experience to the top of each role, and cut bullets that do not support this application.
  4. Show results with numbers where you can: time saved, revenue, users, accuracy.
  5. Never add a skill you do not have. A keyword gets you read; the interview checks it.

What this check does not do

This is a keyword overlap, not a verdict on your application. It cannot judge seniority, how well you describe your impact, or whether an employer would shortlist you, and no tool can promise how an applicant tracking system will rank a resume. Treat missing keywords as prompts to check, not a list to stuff in.
